Senior / staff product engineer · web, mobile & cloud
Osaretin (Ozzie) builds interfaces that scale.
I'm Platform Lead (Web) at Apadmi. Most of my delivery sits in telecom, healthcare, and SaaS—products with 1.3M+ active users. Day-to-day, that means frontend architecture, APIs and services, cloud delivery, testing, and observability, plus making awkward, regulated requirements shippable in the UI.
About
How I work
I'm a product engineer with a platform bias: I want the UI to feel good, but I also want the system behind it to behave under load—performance budgets, failure modes, sensible data boundaries, and developer experience that doesn't slow squads down. That spans customer-facing portals at scale and internal tooling that has to keep working when teams depend on it.
Stack-wise I spend most of my time in React, Next.js, TypeScript, React Native, and Tailwind, with Node.js and C# / .NET on the service side, and Azure for cloud delivery. For confidence I reach for Cypress, Playwright, Jest, and Vitest, plus CI/CD and observability so regressions show up before users do.
On the side I've shipped a few AI-backed products—Tenlord (landlord compliance) and TrueFitCV (CV optimisation). I mentor, I care about accessibility, and I'm happiest when the boring stuff (tests, releases, perf) is in good shape.
Cloud readiness
Azure-certified, with hands-on delivery
I work with platform folk on identity, data boundaries, observability, and hosting so web apps stay quick, stable, and straightforward to release.
Formal credential
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
Microsoft · 2024
Full detail is in the credentials section below.
Credentials →Azure-native delivery
I work with Azure compute, data, messaging, and identity patterns, which usually means fewer back-and-forths with platform and security when a spec lands.
Multi-cloud & edge-aware UI
Production work across Azure, AWS, and GCP-backed estates, with attention to CDN, caching, and serverless patterns so routes and assets behave under load.
Pipelines & environments
CI/CD with GitHub Actions, container-friendly builds, and sensible environment discipline—whether the API is .NET on Azure or Node somewhere else.
Selected work
Selected projects
Client delivery and a few things I've built myself—telecom, NHS work, proptech, commerce, and some LLM-backed side projects.
Background
Roles & education
Contract work first, then longer platform ownership. I tend to stay close to the web, to tests, and to how teams actually release.
Platform Lead (Web)
Nov 2022 — PresentApadmi UK Limited · UK · hybrid / remote
Led web frontend for large customer-facing platforms (1.3M+ active users). iD Mobile work across billing, payments, roaming, and upgrades—supporting growth to 1.6M+ users. CDN-aware fetching and caching; CI/CD on Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions; Lighthouse CI on Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS). Cypress, Playwright, and Jest with 92%+ coverage. WCAG.
Frontend Engineer (contract)
Jan 2022 — Aug 2022Betwiza · Remote
React apps with a proper component model; steadier state and tests; CI/CD and release discipline; defects down roughly 30%.
Software Engineer
Aug 2019 — Dec 2021goHarness · UK
Full-stack delivery; Stripe and webhooks; legacy flows dragged into a saner shape; Redux Toolkit and React Query; tests and CI/CD so releases weren’t guesswork.
Education

Credentials
Certifications & study
A couple of formal bits—mostly because they help day-to-day delivery, not because I collect badges.
Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I)
Scrum.org · 2023
Scrum fundamentals covering roles, events, and artefacts.
Why it matters
Makes sprint planning and backlog conversations less woolly—useful when product and engineering need to stay aligned.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
Microsoft · 2024
Building solutions on Azure across compute, data, messaging, identity, and DevOps workflows.
Why it matters
Helps when you're integrating with Azure, arguing sensibly about observability, or working through platform and security review.
MSc — machine learning & analytics focus
De Montfort University · 2021 — 2022
Graduate study including research on machine learning for credit card fraud detection.
Why it matters
Left me fussier about data quality, evaluation, and how product and ML teams actually talk to each other.
